Forgive me my nonsense

By Cynthia

This week,

I feel...
I have nothing to say, so do indeed forgive me my nonsense as I ramble.

I admire...
My fellow bloggers food and otherwise who manage to come up with smart, creative and articulate posts more than once a week. Truth be told I don't envy you in any way, it's just total admiration.

I am...
Literally staring at the computer screen and then intermittently looking out at the lawn and the birds on the trees. The lawn though well manicured is brown instead of green, we have been having a really long spell of dry weather. Brown is quickly becoming the new green in these parts. And we know what's blame.

I have...
A magazine article that is due and I have no idea what to write about yet. I have faith that inspiration will strike soon.

I can't...
Believe how the year is just flying by. I am looking at the calender and wondering how the heck today could be May 24th when I can clearly remember January as if it were yesterday.

Today I wish I were in Guyana, I feel like taking a stroll through the botanic gardens, going to one of the big open air markets, play with my nephew, put my feet up on the living room table (my mother would disapprove), listen to the chatter and laughter of my family, bask in the knowledge that the food is going to be as good as it smells coming from the kitchen and knowing that all I will have to do that day is absolutely nothing, everything will be taken care of.

In reality however...
I am going to finish doing the laundry, post at Tastes Like Home, do some blog hopping and then see where that takes me.

Forgive the nonsense, I promise to be more purposeful and provocative in my thoughts the next time I post here, I hope, I pray.

My solution for writers block? Take the dog for a walk! I always come back with words spilling out of my fingers. Or ... if not, at least I got off my chair for some exercise!

You have to post every day - a well known principle of blogging....

No, I don't envy those who come up with new posts several days a week either, (sometimes several times a day).

Sitting in front of a computer screen all day is bad. The human body isn't designed for that.

Besides, life is too short and I love my family too much to do that.

you echo my thoughts - "knowing that all I will have to do that day is absolutely nothing, everything will be taken care of." - I have this idea of a perfect vacation you know, only its something that one can never do!!!

I guess we all share that time every now and then!:) and i agree, time has been really flying!!! but that also means you'll be done with your chores soon and be back in those botanical gardens faster than you think!:)
